Nov. 10-11/07  The Youth participated in "World Vision 30 Hour Famine".   The group kept busy overnight at the church with many useful activities, such as raking up the leaves, preparing for the youth service on Remembrance Day and working on music.   Feeling hunger firsthand gives appreciation for all we have in our great land of plenty.   May we pray for others who hunger and thirst for basic necessities.

Nov.11/07 After the Rembrance Day Service, Juliana Chesterfield gave an acount of her Rotary Youth Exchange to Chile, South America.   She encouraged others to go out of their comfort zone to learn new things.   Faith goes whereever you go and God is with you even to the ends of the earth.

Thursday July 12th 7:00 p.m.  Gilda Farias, Classical and Opera Singer Presents a concert at Faith Reformed Church, 1115 Seacliff Dr., Kingsville

Gilda is 17 years old and a student a Kingsville D.H.S.  She is a classical and opera singer but she may do some other pieces as well.  She is AMAZING!!  Last summer, she was chosen to attend the Interlochen Center For the Arts Summer Academy.  Only 400 vocal students from across North America are selected to attend each year.  Many consider it the 'world’s premier summer arts program'.

This event is a rare pleasure to see such talent at such a young age.  Gilda has performed several times at the KDHS Christmas and Spring concerts in the past few years.

March Break  2007
Youth Mission to Kentucky:   Once again our youth, under the supervision of Henry and Beth Kimm, travelled to Kentucky to assist in the demolition and new building of homes for the less fortunate through Habitat for Humanity.   On Youth Sunday they had an opportunity to express their feelings about what they learned.   God has moved them in spiritual ways through their experiences.

We look forward to having our students now living away from home due to school, return in the next few weeks. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.  Know that wherever you go, you are never alone, God is always with you and JESUS LOVES YOU!

"Follow God's example in everything you do, because you are his dear children.  Live a life filled with love for others, following the example of Christ, who loved you and gave himself as a sacrifice to take away your sins.  And God was pleased, because that sacrifice was like sweet perfume to him. '  Ephesians 5:1-2

In Review:
Here is a list of activities that have recently taken place.
March 4/07  Youth Led Worship Service.   A lively group of young people were inspiring as they led the Sunday morning worship service.  Thanks to the musicians who came forward to share their talents

March Break 2007:   Youth Mission Trip to Kentucky:   Meaningful friendships were developed and the eyes of the participants were opened to another way of life.

February 17, 2007:    Another successful ski trip to Mount Brighton.   At least 18 of our youth met with youth groups from churches in Harrow at Mount Brighton skihill for a great night of skiing.  Thanks to Margie Anson for providing some hot drinks and also to the drivers and organizers.

February 4-5th, 2006 - Drayton Youth Exchange
This proved to be another great networking opportunity for our youth with their friends in Drayton.   Interesting tours of dairy farms and early morning devotionals were part of the interesting trip.  Thanks to the Drayton families for billeting the youth groups and also to the Bradt and Kimm families for providing the transportation.
February 25, 2006 - FRC Skiing Trip to Mount Brighton, MI
Thanks once again to Connie and Rick for organizing this successful ski event.  Although the wind was brisk, many smiles were exchanged.  We wish Pastor Carson a quick recovery from his broken thumb.    As always it is great to get a good deal on lift tickets with over 20 attending.  Everyone (Junior Youth, Senior Youth, University students and anyone else you would like to invite) mailto:bradts@sympatico.ca
March 10-12, 2006 - GENESIS 2006
An uplifting experience for a carload of youth from our church wherein they participated with approx. 1,300 youth from surrounding areas at the weekend retreat in Traverse City, MI. Lots of Christian music, speakers, seminars, and free time at the Grand Traverse Resort.  The bus was organized by the Ontario Youth Classis.
March 17, 2006 - "Bring a Friend" night
A social evening of games and comraderie last Friday night.  This was a great opportunity for a social evening wherein participants could bring a friend and play board games, Ping-Pong, shuffleboard, listen to music, enjoy some hot chocolate and munchies.
April 21-22/06 - 30-Hour Famine
4th Annual Famine for World Vision was another success at our church. Elise Bradt and Julie Chesterfield were in charge of activities which included making 1,000s of crosses to signify the number of children who die each day of hunger.

Mission trip 2005
Our youth group, together with young people from  the Reformed Church in Drayton,  travelled to Neone, Kentucky during March break where they participated in a mission trip sponsored by Homes Inc.  Here they, along with youth leaders, worked together to build new and demolish old residences for underprivileged familes.  God's hand was on them and they returned enlightened.
